A regular expression (shortened as regex or regexp) is a sequence of characters that specifies a search pattern. In computing, a regular expression provides a concise and flexible means for "matching" (specifying and recognizing) text strings, such as particular characters, words, or patterns of characters.
It is a simple data mining software utility designed to extract various types of data from text files or logs using regular expressions and rules (which include starting with and ending with). One of its advantages is that it allows batch processing, enabling you to perform searches within multiple files simultaneously.
Before clicking the "Start" button, drag-drop files or select the folder to be scanned. File masks are also supported. You can enter any regular expression (URLs, postal codes, phone numbers, dates, and many others). The results can be easily exported to a file and saved for future use.
